I was a first time home buyer with a limited price range and no idea of what kind of house I wanted. I was probably the worst possible client for a real estate agent. I think my exact words of the kind of house I wanted was the best house possible for my price range. Peggie showed me countless houses for almost a year and Bob helped me, personally, to qualify for a home mortgage. The best part of the experience was the peace of mind, knowing Peggie would only sell me house that she herself would want to buy. Some real estate agents only care about sell now but Peggie and Bob pride themselves on repeat business. They often times end up selling houses to the sons and daughters of whose parents they originally sold to. I chose the Smolko real estate team because I knew they would care more about me than their commission.

Peggie Smolko was able to get my property sold in a very difficult market. Having purchased during what proved to be the peak of the real estate market in Williamsburg. My wife and I had our property listed with another realtor but we were unable to get any offers. Our situation was complicated by the fact that my wife and I live 200 miles away from Williamsburg. We had rented the property the past four years but we needed to sell this year. Peggie worked with us to (1) come up with the right sales price; and (2) get the "touch up" work done before listing it again. Within two weeks we had an offer and the property closed July 31, 2013. I was very impressed with the way Peggie took a "hands on" approach in overseeing the necessary negotiations and fix up work. My wife and I were able to close this without coming to Williamsburg. We had contracted with another agent to sell our home. After 6 months they had only showed our home to 6 people. We then signed with Bob and Peggy and sold within a few weeks. She handled a lot of details that ordinarily would not be a realtor's responsibility, such as assisting with the pack-out of remaining odds and ends, and getting the repairs required by Ford's colony done within a day or two. I've moved several times during my career, and Peggie is head and shoulders the best realtor I've been associated with. She has my strongest personal recommendation for anyone seeking to buy or sell a house in the Williamsburg area.

Bob and Peggie Smolko were fantastic in helping my elderly parents sell their home in Williamsburg. Not only were they efficient and friendly but they went above and beyond the selling of our family home and helped my parents with a myriad of other details involving their move and relocation. My siblings and I are very grateful to them for everything they did to help us close the sale and get my parents moved. We would give them a rating of ten out of ten!

We interviewed three realtors before picking Peggy Smolko to see our house. She recommended the highest listing price of the three and even though we did have to drop the price at one point, she obtained a selling price that was higher than any of the other brokers' starting points. She is very knowledgeable, very conversant with the use of technology and social media to advertise our home. We were working long-distance since we had moved to another state at the outset of the listing, so she had to essentially keep an eye on the house for us and take care of things that an on-site homeowner would have done.
