Poquoson

Many would describe Poquoson as a sleepy town, but it’s the perfect area for those wanting a slower lifestyle. With a population of roughly 12,000, Poquoson is one of the Peninsula’s smaller towns and is actually a peninsula itself! The convenient water access here makes it a prime location for boating, fishing, and the Poquoson Seafood Festival. This event brings in nearly 50,000 people every fall to show support and thanks for watermen, showcase local artisans, and “enjoy the bounty of the bay”!
