Benjamin A. Ritger, Associate Broker

A native of Tidewater, Virginia, Benjamin A. Ritger brings more than 27 years of experience across residential, commercial, investment, and specialty real estate markets. He entered the real estate industry in 1999 after a decade of successfully owning and operating two cycling-related businesses, earning his Florida real estate salesperson’s license and quickly distinguishing himself as a driven and capable professional.

Within one year, Ben obtained his Florida broker’s license and was appointed Principal Broker of Vision Realty of Florida in Ormond Beach. As a one-third owner and broker, he played a key role in expanding the firm from a single-office operation into one of Volusia County’s top ten independent real estate companies. In 2007, he became licensed in Virginia and, following the sale of Vision Realty, returned to Virginia Beach in 2009 to join Atkinson Realty in the resort market.

During his tenure at Atkinson Realty, Ben held multiple leadership roles, including Training and Recruiting Manager, Broker Associate, and Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA). His work focused on mentoring agents, managing complex transactions, and supporting both individual and institutional clients.

In 2018, Ben and his family relocated to Williamsburg, Virginia, where he founded Ritger Real Estate and Development to serve a select group of investor clients with strategic real estate acquisitions and portfolio management. The following year, he and his wife, Christina, expanded into the marine industry with the acquisition of Bay Harbor Brokerage, Inc., operating a successful yacht brokerage for six years before Ben transitioned back to full-time real estate sales.

Today, Ben guides clients through each deal, including residential sales and listings, estate properties, investment asset selection, and commercial leasing and development. He is known for his analytical approach, practical insight, and commitment to aligning each transaction with his clients’ long-term goals.

Ben is married with two grown children. Outside of real estate, he enjoys sailing and boat restoration, competitive sailboat racing, golf, and rehearsing with his band.
