What is your favorite thing about your community/city?

What Sara loves most about her community is the small-town charm and close-knit camaraderie that make everyone feel like family. Growing up and raising her family near the river and the beautiful Chesapeake Bay has given her a deep appreciation for the water, local traditions, and slower pace of life. She values the way the community preserves its history and character, almost like a living time capsule of coastal Virginia heritage. Whether working on the water, helping clients find homes, or spending time with neighbors, Sara treasures the strong sense of connection that makes her hometown so special.

What initially drew you to real estate?

What drew Sara to real estate was the opportunity to be part of one of the most meaningful moments in a person’s life—finding a place to truly call home. After experiencing the joy of finding her own forever home, she developed a passion for helping other individuals and families discover that same happiness and sense of belonging. She understands that a home is more than just a house; it’s where memories are made, traditions begin, and families grow together.

Why is relationship building so key to your success?

Relationship building is at the heart of Sara’s success because real estate is ultimately about people and the families searching for a place to call home. She believes that without those clients and the trust they place in her, there would be no business. Sara genuinely enjoys meeting new people, learning their stories, and creating lasting relationships that continue long after the closing table. Being able to help clients through such an important chapter in their lives is not only rewarding professionally, but also a true personal privilege.

How does your background/previous experience bring a unique perspective to your work?

Sara’s background gives her a unique perspective in real estate because she has deep roots in the community she proudly serves. Living in Saluda has allowed her to truly know and appreciate the area, not just as a realtor, but as someone who genuinely loves the lifestyle and people who call it home. Assisting her husband in the local crabbing industry has introduced her to many members of the community and strengthened her understanding of the region’s waterfront culture and traditions. Working at a local oyster bar in Urbanna has also helped her build lasting relationships with locals, giving her a strong connection to the people and communities she serves every day.

As a mother of four, she understands firsthand what it means to face uncertainty and make important decisions under pressure.
