Being from out of state, Robert was indespensible in explaining the purchasing process in VA. He was always available to answer questions, (sometimes twice). He couldn't have been more professional or knowledgeable. Robert also came up with some terrific ideas for my house. He saw possibilities that I didn't. We are so grateful to Robert Batchelor for his work in helping us to find our home. As a first time home buyer, from out of state, on a tight deadline to relocate my mother from an entirely different part of the country, our goal was already ambitious. Add to that a low inventory of available houses, a limited budget, and all of this in the midst of a pandemic; we were in need of a miracle! Robert was immediately responsive, taking the time to learn our needs and then setting up viewings to fit within our scheduled visits. He drove us all over Richmond and vicinity, helping us to get to know the neighborhoods, teaching us the basics of buying a home, and entertaining my mother as we traveled from house to house. He helped us to avoid some major pitfalls and then prepped us for how to fight for the house that we ultimately wanted. He was always available to answer questions, provide references, and to give his thoughtful and measured advice. I cannot recommend Robert enough!

We are so lucky to have found Robert. He was personable, friendly and knew very quickly what we wanted and what houses to show us. He knows the Richmond area inside and out. Robert did everything he could to keep us informed in the process and make our purchase as simple and successful as possible. Robert was more focused on answering our questions, giving us good advice and finding homes that met our needs than he was on closing a deal. We would recommend him to anyone.

Robert was by far the only reason this move went as smoothly as it did. He went above and beyond working with me, which was no easy task as I was out of state and had one single weekend to get things done. Not only that, I had a very tall order for a property, one that would also accommodate my printmaking studio. Robert found so many wonderful houses and was more than willing to go the literal extra mile to help me find my home. We hit the ground running and between showings Robert helped me become acquainted with the city and took me to places that matched my vibe exactly. In the end, I wake up every day wildly happy in a house I couldn't have dreamed to be any more perfect.
