      Ed MeltonQuestion & Answer

What is your favorite thing about Central Virginia?
I really like the Central Virginia area because of the diverse opportunities for business, recreation, education, social life and cuisine. And you have to love the option for a day trip to mountains, beaches, and historic sites.
What initially drew you to real estate?
I have always enjoyed interacting with people and architecture and wanted to be self employed after my service in the Army. What better way to combine these things than in helping folks with their real estate needs?
How does your background bring a unique perspective to your work?
I grew up in a small town where everyone helped anyone who needed a hand so it is second nature for me to do the same in real estate.
How has your previous experience benefited your practice of real estate?
After college, I served in the U.S. Army where learned discipline, organizational skills and leadership. But most of all I learned to appreciate the differences in people and their personalities and the different ways they go about reaching their dreams.
How do you give back to the community?
I support Tech 4 Troops who empower Veterans with computers, skills, and Information Technology (IT) work force training. They refurbish old equipment and reduce E-Waste while doing that. I also support Tunnels to Towers who provide mortgage free homes to veterans or veterans’ families.

Highly Recommend I have known Ed since our days as fraternity brothers in college. I would highly recommend Ed as in many cases he was of tremendous assistance during our sales experience. His years of experience were invaluable. His service in our case went way above the norm.
Ed handled both sides of our move. We had many questions about getting our Mechanicsville home ready to sell and many more about buying our (hopefully) forever home in Montpelier. He's a pro!
Ed was on top of everything, kept us informed and made the process easy! Great agent!
